Privacy Policy
Quédate Tranquila ("Quédate Tranquila," "we," "us," or "our") makes the Quédate Tranquila mobile app (the "App"), a stress management app designed by Latinas, for Latinas. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the App, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
By creating an account or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy and to our Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
The short version
- We collect your email, the profile you set up, and what you record in the App (such as moods, lesson answers, and practice time) so the App can work for you.
- In the community, other members see only your App profile name and avatar. They never see your email or what you write in the App.
- We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for targeted advertising.
- You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account information: your email address and password when you sign up, and your email when you reset your password.
- Profile information: the profile name, avatar, and flower background you pick (the App suggests these, so you don't have to use your real name or photo), plus the roles, personality traits, feelings, and personal goal you choose during onboarding.
- Wellbeing and activity information: your mood tracker entries and the reasons you choose, your answers and reflections in learning modules, quizzes, and activities, any commitments or signatures you draw in a lesson, the practices you complete and how long you practice, and the badges and achievements you earn.
- Community activity: the virtual flowers you send and receive.
- Messages to us: anything you send when you email or call our support team.
Information collected automatically
- Device and app information: device type and model, operating system and version, app version and build number, a device identifier, time zone, language setting, and when you open the App.
- Push notification token: if you allow notifications, we store a token so we can send you reminders and updates.
- Crash and usage data: we use Google Firebase (Crashlytics and Analytics) to understand how the App is used and to fix crashes. Crash reports may include your account ID and email address so we can help you if something goes wrong.
Information we do not collect
The App does not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, camera, or microphone recordings. It does not use advertising identifiers to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Information stored on your device
To let you use the App offline, some content (such as downloaded lessons and audio practices) and some of your activity may be saved on your device and sent to our servers when you're back online. You can remove downloaded content at any time in Settings.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- create and manage your account and let you sign in;
- personalize your experience, save your progress, and show your mood history, promises, and achievements;
- let you send and receive flowers of encouragement from other members;
- send you notifications you have agreed to receive, such as reminders;
- respond to your questions and support requests;
- keep the App secure, prevent misuse, and fix bugs and crashes;
- understand how the App is used so we can improve it; and
- follow the law and enforce our Terms and Conditions.
We do not use your information for targeted advertising, and we do not use it for research.
3. What other members can see
When you take part in the community, for example by sending flowers or appearing in Celebrate, other members may see your profile name, avatar, flower background, and the achievements that the community feature shows. Other members cannot see your email address, mood entries, lesson answers, reflections, goals, or signatures.
4. How we share information
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share information only in these cases:
- Service providers who help us run the App under agreements that limit how they can use your data. These include cloud hosting, Google Firebase (crash reports, analytics, and push notifications), and Apple and Google (app delivery and notifications).
- Legal reasons: when we believe in good faith that the law, a court order, or a government request requires it, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of our users, the public, or Quédate Tranquila.
- Business changes: if Quédate Tranquila is part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred. This Privacy Policy will continue to protect it, and we will let you know.
- With your permission: in any other case, only if you tell us we may.
5. Your wellbeing information
Information about your moods, stress, and feelings is personal. We treat it as sensitive and use it only to provide the App's features to you. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or share it with employers, insurers, or data brokers.
Quédate Tranquila is a wellness app, not a healthcare provider, so the information you enter is generally not covered by HIPAA. We still protect it as described in this policy.
6. How long we keep information
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your personal information or make it anonymous within 30 days. We may keep some information longer if the law requires it, to resolve disputes, or to prevent fraud. Copies in our backups are deleted as the backups are replaced. Flowers you already sent may still appear to the people who got them, but they will no longer be linked to your account.
7. Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. These include encrypted connections between the App and our servers, access controls, and password protection. No app or internet transmission is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please choose a strong password and keep it private. If we learn of a data breach that affects you, we will notify you as the law requires.
8. Your choices and rights
- Notifications: you can turn push notifications on or off at any time in your device settings.
- Profile: you can view and update your profile in the App.
- Access, correction, and deletion: you can ask us for a copy of your personal information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.
- State privacy rights: depending on where you live (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, or Washington), you may have additional rights, such as the right to know what we collect, to withdraw consent for sensitive or health-related data, and to appeal our decision on your request. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
To make a request, email us at QTprogram@isagroup.com. We may need to confirm your identity first. We will reply within the time the law requires, usually within 30 to 45 days.
9. Deleting your account
You can ask us to delete your account and the personal information linked to it at any time. Email no-reply@quedatetranquila.com from the email address on your account, with the subject line "Delete my account." We will confirm when your account has been deleted. Deleting the App from your phone does not delete your account.
10. Age requirement
The App is for adults 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. Where your data is stored
Quédate Tranquila is based in the United States, and your information is processed and stored in the United States. If you use the App from another country, you understand that your information will be transferred to the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live.
12. Not medical advice
The App provides education and wellness tools. It is not a substitute for professional medical or mental health care, and we do not monitor what you enter in the App. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, with support in Spanish) or call 911 in an emergency.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top. If the changes are important, we will tell you in the App or by email before they take effect. If you keep using the App after an update, you accept the updated policy.
